Emerging as a chief orator and excellent organizer, Shyamdev Bhadana became one of the most admired political leaders. His exceptional dedication towards the people and love for his country is respected. His passion for equality and social justice makes him a leader in the true sense. Leadership in today's scenario involves excessive hard work rather than sitting at a conference table and he has set a perfect example.
Mr. Bhadana has a strong interest both in the political and social sphere. He has a significant contribution as a rebel to fight against corruption and exploitation of the weaker section and as a social activist in promoting environmentalism and ecosystem.
Mr. Bhadana has served the Indian Trade Union Congress as the National President till date since 26 June 2005. He is also the Convener of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (I) Labour Cell since 1995 and the Permanent Invitee member of the State Advisory Contract Labour Board Government of NCT since 2002.
As a social activist, Mr. Bhadana took active interest in distributing food and clothing amongst the poor and needy, many times aided in performing last rites for the dying destitute's, fought against the social evils like dowry, atrocities against women and exploitation of the weak. Being, a man of substance Mr. Bhadana have been organizing large-scale donation for various temples, mosques, grounders, churches and relief camps for the victims of natural calamities. He has far-fetched contribution in maintaining the roads by laying bricks and concrete on the paths of the unauthorized colonies of Delhi.
Achievements
Mr. Shyam Bhadana has achieved success in various spheres and his devotion towards his work has been the chief reason for achieving prominent position in his political career.Mr Bhadana has been elected as the National General Secretary for the Indian Trade Union Congress for 12 years. He started his political sojourn as a Student leader in Jamia Millia University in 1989. He represented the primary member of All India Congress Committee (I) in 1990.
As a general secretary, Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress (I), Mr. Bhadana conducted many rallies in support of Congress (I), recruited and trained many volunteers for party work at grassroots level, organized blood-donation and free eye checkup camps, arranged and gave grants for blind and leprosy inflicted schools, granted aid for the marriage of poor girls, securing social justice for destitute people and helped many jhuggis dewellers and NGO's

- March 15, 1993 : Hunger Strike to press the Worker's demands of Delhi Jal Board.
- January 2, 1995 : Indefinite Hunger Strike to press the demands of workers.
- January 3, 1995 : Led a Dharna and Hunger Strike on Jantar-Mantar Delhi, to press worker's demands.
